MAKING MEDIA NOW: FILMMAKING IN TRANSITION A conference for film and media makers from across New England Friday, June 1, 2007 9:30 am- 6:30 pm Boston University’s Photonics Center 8 St. Mary’s St., Boston

Filmmakers Collaborative presents a full day of master classes, panel discussions and keynote speakers focused on new technologies and the opportunities they create for film and media makers. Today’s world of video blogs, social networking and media publishing sites, and other Internet innovations has democratized the tools of media creation and distribution. What do traditionally-trained filmmakers need to know to enter this brave new world? How can media makers utilize these technologies to their advantage?

Master classes include topics about copyright issues, tax credits, and high definition cameras. Panels include Demystifying Digital Formats, Producing and Delivering Short Content on the web, the Social Media Game, Making Content Interactive and how to use the web as a tool for promoting and distributing your film.

Registration fee is $85 through May 22. Discounts for AIMM, MPC, and Beanywood members. On May 23, fee goes up to $100, so register today!!
