Screenwriter's Salon
The Screenwriter’s Salon is a program run by Central Productions in collaboration with the Grubb Street Writers. It is an informal live script reading and forum designed to help filmmakers in the process of crafting a great screenplay – essentially a development vehicle. We offer screenwriters the forum to workshop their scripts: to hear their scripts read by actors and to get audience feedback from the discussion that follows.
The Salon has an emphasis on scripts geared towards production. We work with the filmmaker to prepare their script for the live reading, moderate the discussion, and help connect filmmakers to actors for the reading. The Screenwriter’s Salon is for completed scripts looking for fine-tuning development, and not works-in-progress.
